For this assignment, you are to select 3 careers that you may want to after high school graduation. Research the pay scale, markets that seek professionals in that occupation, and companies hiring for that occupation.
Once you have decided the careers, research 2 universitites per career choice that offer degrees needed to be employeed in the field of choice. Items to research when looking at the universities are: what degree do you need, how long will it take to obtain the degree, classes required for that degree, other careers you could obtain with that degree, how do you apply to that school and department, is there funding available, what is the total cost of obtaining that degree?
If you are choosing not to attend college, you are still to select 3 career choices and complete the requirements stated in the first paragraph. However, instead of selecting a college, what skills do you need to be successful, find out what training you will need for your occupation, where will you obtain your training, how long will it take to complete the training, and how much will it cost you to complete the training?
Put your research information in bound report form and turn it into me on Wednesday, April 11, 2012. Once turned in, save the document as a .pdf and upload it to this blog in the comment section. Along with the paper, write a comment about the assignment describing the new information you found.

Prezi 1970's Presentations
Prezi Presentation for All Topics (additional requirements will be given per topic, see details below): Due Tuesday, February 28th.
· Have a title slide
· Slides at the end for sources (at least 5 sites or sources)
· Add clipart/pictures
· Add a sound clip or video onto your Prezi
· Do not use more than 3 fonts throughout your presentation
· Make sure your color scheme and presentation is aesthetically pleasing
· Make sure your presentation does not give your viewers motion sickness
· Information on the slides are not to be read, but used as a guide for your presentation.
1. Go to www.decadesclass2012.blogspot.com and link your Prezi when you’re finished.
2. Post a comment explaining the assignments and requirements, what you have learned, and how this knowledge will benefit you throughout your life.
Events: (Tara & Todd) Provide 3 events per year from 70-79. Provide details about each event and make sure you understand the significance of the event, as your grade will be affected if you are unable to answer questions asked about the event.
Music: (Kayla & Tessa) Provide the top 3 artists/musicians/bands of each year 70-79. Include a biography of the artist and the genre of music (country, blues, pop, rock, bluegrass, etc.) they played and their most popular songs. List the top 5 songs of each year.
Inventions: (Ashley) List 3 inventions created per year 70-79 and answer the questions who, what, when, where, why, & how when describing the inventions.
Fads & Fashion: (Katelyn & Heavin) List the top 3 designers of each year 70-79 and provide a biography for each designer. Explain how they started, what brought success, and include images of their designs, be it clothing or cosmetics.
Cars: (Tyler & Richard) List the 3 most popular cars: family, sport, and truck per year 70-79. Provide a biography of the manufacturing line of the vehicles and list the details (cost, engine, body, etc.), as well.
TV Shows & Movies: (Rachel & Kaitlyn) List the top 3 TV Shows per year 70-79. Describe the show, actors, and how it compared/related to the events occurring or time in America during the year/decade. List and describe the top 3 movies of the years 60-69. Provide a biography of the Best Actor and Actress awarded for each of the years 70-79.
Sports: (TJ) Provide the history of Baseball, Basketball, Football, Hockey, and Soccer. List and provide a biography of the top 3 athletes per the years 70-79 for baseball, basketball, and football.
After all the presentations are completed, insert your prezi link into the comment section. Write a paragraph describing your experience with and opinion of Prezi. Also in your paragraph, include which research topic was the most interesting to you and why.
